Vanita Braver, M.D. is a double- board certified child and adolescent psychiatrist who oversees psychiatric services at Bonnie Brae and has done so since 1996. Psychiatric services include ongoing comprehensive biopsychosocial assessment and treatment including psychopharmacologic management. Dr. Braver completed both her Adult Psychiatry training and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry training at New York-Presbyterian Hospital.

She is also a writer and a children’s picture book author (www.drvanitabraver.com).  Dr. Braver strongly believes in Bonnie Brae’s mission and states, “I find the work I do fulfilling as I am part of a great interdisciplinary team that truly cares about each resident. It is a privilege to have such intimate access to the lives of the residents and their families and to know that we make a difference.”
