Nicole joined Bonnie Brae’s team as Director of Nursing in May of 2019. Her career path has been dedicated to helping under-served populations and she holds a Master’s Degree in Nursing Science, Clinical Nurse Leadership from Sacred Heart University and an undergraduate degree from Fordham University.
Nicole is passionate about this work and has a proven track record of success as a “change-agent”, committed to improving outcomes by working in the community building programming and aligning resources to benefit the complex needs of under-served populations, especially in the realm of mental health.
Nicole began her career in nursing as an LPN at 19 and has over 20 years of healthcare experience and nursing at various levels including: pediatrics, palliative care, hospice, complex case care, home care, managed care, and mental health. Prior to joining Bonnie Brae she served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Nursing Officer for Newark Community Health Centers where she successfully improved community standards and outreach, partnering with other agencies to improve access and education for under-served youth and families in Newark. During her tenure running the clinic and healthcare services at the Children’s Aid Society, New York City, Nicole was able to work collaboratively with other agencies and partners to connect youth and families to needed services, leading to more favorable discharges with parental involvement.
As Bonnie Brae’s Director of Nursing, Nicole is focused on organizational excellence, education and mission delivery for our youth and for our staff, building partnerships and connections to resources which will ultimately improve health outcomes for our youth.
