2026 Honorees

Our vision for this year's program is unlike any we've done before. Rather than simply hosting a Ball, we want to tell the story of Bonnie Brae through the lives it has transformed. We plan to honor two remarkable alumni whose journeys beautifully illustrate the lifelong impact of our mission.

Art Knowlton

Art Knowlton

Posthumously
Class of '55

Art Knowlton's story reflects a full-circle legacy—from Bonnie Brae resident to Trustee, dedicating his life to strengthening the very organization that once invested in him.
Shakir Reed

Shakir Reed

Alumni, Entrepreneur & Founder
Class of '12

Shakir Reed, one of our more recent alumni, represents the next generation of that legacy as an entrepreneur, nonprofit founder, and mentor who is now creating opportunities for young people in his own community.

Together, their stories demonstrate that Bonnie Brae's work does not end when a young person leaves our campus. It lives on through the lives they build, the communities they strengthen, and the next generation they inspire.
