Getting Through the Winter

News
Posted on January 9, 2014
by Maureen Hunt
From CEO, Bill Powers: It is a cold, cold winter afternoon.  We are gathered in our conference room for an Ambassador meeting.  There are nine residents and one staff member, yours truly.  While waiting for the rest of the troops to arrive one of the guys notices a very colorful book that we put together detailing our first summer camp week in upstate New York.  As the boys page through the book there are immediate smiles and laughter.   There I am on the climbing wall.  Remember how dark it was at night?  There is Steve on the paddle board.  Suddenly the room is much warmer.  These spontaneous positive memories of our shared summer vacation help us all to get through a particularly cold winter and remind us all of why we do this work.
