Class Series: Introduction to Therapeutic Movement and Relaxation

We hope that everyone is enjoying summer, and have been able to engage in activities that have been meaningful and uplifting given the challenges we have faced collectively over the past year and a half.
We know that the transition back to school may present some challenges despite things slowly returning to a state of normalcy. Bonnie Brae's Intensive-In Community (IIC) program will be conducting its very-first therapeutic movement and relaxation class series August 16 - September 18, 2021. Participants will learn concrete therapeutic movement and meditation skills to help cope with stress positively.
This weekly, in-person, class will be held on Wednesdays, 4:30-5:30PM in the Matinee Theatre on Bonnie Brae campus and will be lead by certified yoga instructor, Patricia Gymrek. Patricia is also a certified special education teacher, with over 20+ years experience teaching pre-k to college age at-risk youth and young adults with developmental disabilities.
Participants will be required to wear a mask indoors. While participants are welcomed to bring their own supplies (e.g. yoga mat) to class, necessary equipment will be provided. No prervious experience is required, and all ages/levels are welcome!
