Bonnie Brae’s Big Dreams!

News
Posted on February 10, 2017
by Maureen Hunt
In our first century, Bonnie Brae helped change the lives of over 10,000 boys and families. As we jump into the next 100 years, we will strive to, “Transform more lives of at-risk youth and their families through a nationally recognized model of care.” Our 31st Annual Tartan Ball is just around the corner on February 25th. At the Ball, we will unveil our bold dreams to:
  • Expand Aftercare Services to help more young men navigate the challenges of living on their own or returning to their home communities. The Aftercare Program provides support, guidance and resources to Bonnie Brae graduates making the transition from Bonnie Brae to more independent living.
  • Build a State-of-the-Art New Residential Cottage for 12 young men on our Liberty Corner campus. This will allow Bonnie Brae to offer the highest quality living environment, space and amenities to maximize positive growth for each young man.
  • Build a Premier Family Center, which would offer space where families can interact with each other in a more holistic environment. This would allow us to share our 100 years of experience through educational classes and potential outpatient services to Somerset county and the surrounding communities. We would also be able to provide more compassionate admissions care as we receive young men into our community. The welcome center will highlight our 100-year history.
To achieve these goals, Bonnie Brae CEO, Paul Rieger recognizes that “building and expanding on 100 years of success requires an investment of resources. For this reason, we look towards development and our community to partner with us. We vision growing collaborations with donors, the State of New Jersey, health and human service agencies as well as other non-profit businesses and corporations.  Developing these relationships helps our boys, their families and the communities across New Jersey.” Accredited by the Joint Commission, Bonnie Brae is one of the nation’s preeminent residential treatment centers for at-risk adolescent boys who have been neglected, abused, or abandoned. We provide a safe place for boys and young men in crisis, ages 8-21, a place for them to heal, to learn and to grow. We have helped over 10,000 boys and families since our founding in 1916. Please contact us today to learn how you can make a positive difference in a young man’s life.
