Billy came from a blended family and a history of sexual abuse, and a series of failed out of home placements. At Bonnie Brae our residential staff worked especially hard to help Billy begin respecting other people’s boundaries. Cottage life, in which the boys are called upon daily to evaluate themselves and their peers and ‘to own’ the consequences of their actions on others, was particularly helpful to Billy.
Today Billy lives in Florida and works at Wal-Mart. When he completes probation he wants to join the military. A gifted student in math, while attending high school, he tutored other math students.
