In 2009, our Bonnie Brae Knights Drum Corps were invited to perform at the 56th Presidential Inaugural Parade in Washington D.C. With more than 1400 applications submitted, the Knights were among the 49 groups selected nationwide and, the only group officially invited from New Jersey.
Since the parade, the Knights have continued to build their resume and their audience. They play for friends and family on campus as well as at the Strawberry Festival in Virginia, national conferences, local parades and events, and audiences at charity events such as Tour de Cure and Red Bandanna Day at Provident Bank Stadium.
Although the Knights have an abundance of pride and enthusiasm, the 12-member Drum Corps have uniforms and equipment that are aging. Your support can help them to buy uniforms and new equipment as well as a truck that can transport their equipment safely to all of these events.
$10,000 – Can provide a new box-truck, so that the equipment can be stored and safely transported
$5,000 – Can provide new equipment for all the boys in the Bonnie Brae Knights Drum Corps
$2,000 – Can provide uniforms for the boys – so they can look as good as they sound!
$500 – Can help pay for the cost of transportation to an event
$100 – Can provide new sticks for the group
