The 2007 Bonnie Brae Tartan Ball - Music After Dark
posted 12/10/2006 06:08:00 PM | archive

Announcing:  A New Date * A New Venue * An Amazing New Style

Guests will be on their feet offering a standing ovation for the unique entertainment staged for the upcoming 21st annual black tie Tartan Ball to be held at the Pleasantdale Chateau in West Orange on February 10, 2007.  The gala produced by Hemisphere Productions, Inc. benefits Bonnie Brae, a Somerset County residential treatment center for troubled boys.

The event, titled Music After Dark, showcases an unusual evening of a multitude of musical stylings which begin at the cocktail hour, and rise to a crescendo throughout the evening.  Guests will be especially awed at the unique surprise entertainment that has been acclaimed internationally, performing for presidents, heads of states, major corporations, and at private celebrity parties.

The Honorary Chairperson is James Gandolfini, star of the famed television series "The Sopranos".  With him in that position, the evening is sure to be "a hit!"

The Pleasantdale Chateau, a 1920's French Normandy manor home set on forty acres, allows for a wonderful flow amongst several beautiful, historical rooms.  The magnificent ceiling in the "Music Room" soars to a height of thirty-five feet and supports the entire roof of a Scandinavian chapel from Europe.  Recitals were presented there each Sunday for New York City's Music Society.  Great composers and artists were regulars in attendance with musical scores presented to the Chateau owner's wife.  The "Music Room", as well as several other charming rooms, will once again host fine caliber musicians of various styles to entertain attendees as they peruse the unusual silent auction items offered while cocktailing and enjoying tantalizing tastes to tempt their palate.

An intriguing menu will be served for dinner and dessert in the exquisite circular surround sound ballroom capped with a stunning glass dome.  Following is lively dancing music, a few more surprises sprinkled in, and an incredible live auction that includes a package for the Academy Awards, as well as other celebrity offerings.

For the ultimate luxury, limousine service will be offered to and from the gala for those that choose that option.  If guests should wish to extend their weekend, accommodations will be available on site at the manor home and conference center, on a first come basis. Accompanying this will be a Sunday morning brunch.

Underwriting, Sponsorships, and Program Ads are now being gratefully accepted.  The deadline for program acknowledgement is November 30, 2006.  Gala cost per person:  $350 Benefactor * $240 Contributor *

$175 Jazz Babies (Thirty years of age or under)

All proceeds from the event support the boys that Bonnie Brae serves.  The boys range in age from 11 to 18 from throughout the entire state of New Jersey.  Many have endured as many as ten failed placements with foster families.  They come disturbed, damaged, angry, and often severely abused, with little ability to trust in those who are supposed to care for them.  Bonnie Brae's skilled staff of professionals educates, nurses, counsels, and loves these children back to health, giving them back a piece of their childhood and providing them with the skills and stability to pursue their dreams and become productive citizens.  Be part of their dream!
