Just Say Thanks Honors Bonnie Brae

On Wednesday, September 25th, 2002 at 4:00 pm. Just Say Thanks, the Montville teenage group which nominates non profit organizations for recognition by the New Jersey Senate and Assembly, presented the prestigious New Jersey Joint Senate/Assembly resolution to Bonnie Brae at the organization’s Liberty Corner facility.
The Resolution honors Bonnie Brae, founded in 1916, as a private, nonprofit residential treatment and special education center for troubled boys age 11 to 18. "Bonnie Brae is open 24 hours a day 365 days a year to provide a comprehensive treatment program enabling troubled boys to learn the skills needed to return to their homes, communities and society as self-sufficient and productive citizens, and to realize their full life potential," said Bill Powers, CEO of Bonnie Brae.Presenting the Resolution was Shawna Adams, president of Just Say Thanks.
JST was founded in 2000 by Shawna, now a senior at Montville Township High School. To date, the group has nominated more than 10 individual charitable organizations in Northern New Jersey, and has presented seven Resolutions. Bill Powers was honored to accept this award
