True to our mission, Bonnie Brae (which means 'pretty hill' in Scottish) is one of the nation's preeminent therapeutic learning environments for adolescent boys who have been neglected, abused, or abandoned.
Our Board Of Trustees and our skilled professionals make up the dynamic team that's been helping young boys become men since 1916.

Bonnie Brae, accredited by the Joint Commission (JC), is one of the nation's preeminent therapeutic learning environments for adolescent boys who have been neglected, abused, or abandoned.
True to its mission, the program at Bonnie Brae provides boys and young men with the opportunity to discover, develop, and maximize the skills necessary to become responsible young men. Since 1916, the program has been providing individualized treatment services to meet the unique needs of each youth.
A caring and dedicated professional staff of doctors, nurses, counselors, clinicians, milieu therapists, and teachers prepare and implement Individual Treatment Plans for each resident.
We emphasize each boy's potential to succeed. Our program utilizes a strengths-based approach to treatment that is designed to build trust, improve communication and problem-solving skills, and create a sense of accomplishment.
Our campus includes residential cottages, athletic center, vocational education center, pool, television studio, and adventure based ropes course.
Our fully approved on-site school implements individual education plans to meet the special needs of our students, and our classes are taught by certified special education teachers.
