BraeVision Katrina Project
posted 10/31/2005 | archive
In this innovative job skills program, Bonnie Brae students learn to operate video cameras, edit their work and star in videos under the direction of Tom "Coach" Melvin.
Students have worked on a variety of projects, including a weekly TV show (broadcast throughout the Bonnie Brae campus), a Fire Prevention video for Bernards Township, Public Service Announcements for the Methany School's "Miles for Methany" fundraiser, and a special infomercial on the Bernards Township Chamber of Commerce's recent Katrina Relief Effort.
Braevision's high-tech video production studio is located on Bonnie Brae's main campus, and has hosted local cable TV shows. The young men at Bonnie Brae assisted with the Bernards Township Chamber of Commerce Katrina Relief on September 16, 2005 by helping to load boxes of necessary items into trucks to be taken to the victims in Houma, Louisiana.
