FROM THE FATHER OF DOMINIC, A BONNIE BRAE BOY
To Chris, A Bonnie Brae Counselor
Dear Chris,
I am just taking a minute to write to you because you were an integral part of my son’s therapy and treatment – you helped him to get his life in order.
Dominic has just completed his GED and he is now attending Hudson Community College, majoring in culinary arts. He is also working for a program, which entitles him to a scholarship at the end of the year, toward continuing education. In addition, he is now working as a rape crisis intervention liaison, for which he has been trained, and has received a nomination for a national award for a part that he played in an independent film in his school.
Dominic is doing very, very well – and it’s because of people like you who saw something beneath the surface of his problems. I just wanted to acknowledge you and say “thank you”. I appreciate what you meant to Dominic while he was at Bonnie Brae. Fortunately for Dominic, you believed in him. Call us any time – I know Dominic would love to say “hi”!
